Head of Communications, IR and ESG, Diamond Realty Management
Makiko Noda joined Diamond Realty Management Inc. (DREAM) in Dec. 2015 when she has been rotated from Mitsubishi Corporation. She is currently responsible for Communications, Investor Relations, ESG, and other Corporate Planning matters at Administration Division. She also served her role as a deputy general manager of Business Development Division from Dec. 2015 to fall 2016.
Prior to joining DREAM, Makiko was a Deputy Director for International Logistics at Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism at Government of Japan from 2013-2015 where she was holding a leading official position as a team leader of MLIT’s International Logistics Division to promote Japan's logistics business and policy measures with ASEAN member states. She was also responsible for the ASEAN Transport Facilitation Working Group as Japan’s official representative member to promote ASEAN-Japan Green Logistics, Japan-ASEAN Policy Dialogues on Logistics, and ASEAN Logistics Pilot Projects hosted by MLIT JAPAN. She also served as a team head to host the Japan-China-Korea Ministerial Logistics Conference which was held in Yokohama, Japan in 2014.
Makiko held a position as Assistant General Manager and Department Manager at Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas)/Mitsubishi International Corporation from 2007-2013. She was the Insurance Risk Manager for Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas), Mitsubishi International Corporation, and Mitsubishi Corporation group companies in North America. She was also responsible for reinsurance business, reinsurance fund management, and captive management. During her tenure in New York, she served the Director and VP for Diamond Insurance Consulting Inc., New Century Insurance Ltd., Diamond Financial Solutions, and Pentelia Diamond Capital Management Inc. Makiko is a licensed property and casualty insurance broker of NY State.
Makiko joined Mitsubishi Corporation in 1997. She has wide expertise in business development and investments where she has taken her positions in departments of insurance, resinsurance, retail and logistics sectors until she has been rotated to the Mitsubishi International New York Office in 2007.
