Ms Leong joined CapitaLand Commercial Trust Management Limited (CCTML) in 2007 as the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director. CCTML is the manager of CapitaLand Commercial Trust (CCT), the first and largest commercial real estate investment trust (REIT) on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited. CCTML is also the wholly-owned subsidiary of CapitaLand Limited, one of Asia’s largest real estate companies.
CCT owns a S$8.7 billion portfolio of 10 premier office and commercial properties in Singapore’s Central Business District and Downtown Core. Under Ms Leong’s charge, CCT has won multiple awards for excellence in management, corporate governance, investor relations and its annual report. CCT’s properties have also won numerous local and international awards for sustainability and design. CCT is included in indices such as MSCI Global Standard Indices, FTSE4Good Index Series and FTSE Straits Times Index, FTSE4Good Asean 5 Index and SGX Sustainability Leaders Index.
Ms Leong also serves on the boards of Singapore’s National Environment Agency and the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce.
Before joining CCTML, Ms Leong was the Chief Executive Officer of Ascendas Korea, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Ascendas (now known as Ascendas-Singbridge Group), Asia’s leading provider of sustainable urban solutions. Prior to joining Ascendas, Ms Leong held Director positions in the London, New York, Chicago and Asian offices of LaSalle Investment Management (LIM), and was also one of the founding directors of LIM’s Asian office. LIM is the real estate fund management group of New York Stock Exchange-listed Jones Lang LaSalle. Ms Leong started her career at Standard Chartered Bank and United Malayan Banking Corporation where she held senior officer positions in consumer banking, corporate banking and corporate finance.
